I will be writing this post for the discussion of David de Gea. What I have been seeing is the blatant 'lynching' of an 'unproven' keeper working to acquaint himself with the English Premier League.
Give everyone in the team a chance. They will always prove themselves in the end.
For that matter, let's take the example of Peter Schmeichel. When he came into the Manchester United line-up, he made many errors that brought victory into doubt. But he improved, and was part of the 1999 treble winning team!!!!!. David de Gea is only 20 years presently. But I have seen people criticizing him for those 2 'blunders'. Some of those people are the United fans who "profess their love for the club", but will castigate any player if he does not perform to their expectations.
Manchester United is like a family, here we do not spend a grotesque amount to get who we want, we profess our love of the game, both the players and the supporters. When someone is undergoing a low period, we do not pull them down, we hope they would recover. I remember Diego Forlan, he did not come flying off the blocks exactly, but he was there to provide us the goals at the appropriate time. I fail to understand the way these fans are pulling the players down whenever they feel like. This I have seen with Carrick last year. He was immense last year in nearly every game except the Barca game but still people have issues with him. A fickle lot I tell you .
Anyway I think I have digressed, again . The point is I believe in David de Gea and I do not care if we do not get the trophy this year or not ( I would be happy if we do get it though ).
I will just keep on believing on our team through the highs and the lows.
