I watched the match expecting a tight match, but was blown away by the scoreline!! I became delirious at the end, the dismantling of a team which is 'good' enough to be in the Champions League speaks a lot of the class, determination, and ability of our team.
I have to praise everyone in our team, each one of them must be buzzing after that match.
I hope Welbeck recovers from his injury. I felt he pulled his hamstring, but I am no doctor. I just hopes he recovers and comes back into this superb ManUtd squad, which takes away the 'awe' from the supposedly 'awesome' Arsenal sqaud and made them into a bunch of amateurs.
Let us carry onwards our path of spell-binding football and go onwards to our 20 title!!! ;D. GGMU!!!

I actually found the game quite uncomfortable to watch. Although I was delighted with the performance of our players, it was sad to watch what became the total humiliation of a great club. I have a lot of admiration for Arsene Wenger and the club he has built (because he truly has rebuilt Arsenal) and the way they have played beautiful football whilst operating a profitable business.
I would much rather we were competing with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool than the soulless financial steamrollers that Chelsea became and City have now become.

I agree with you. In the beginning even I felt sorry for Arsenal during the game. Then cue Arshavin's fouls ( I still don't understand why he wasn't sent off) and I remembered the incidents that made me hate Arsenal (the PizzaGate issue, the horde of Arsenal players mocking Van Nistelrooy when he missed his penalty, the various bickerings started by the Arsenal supporters etc..) and then I lost all the sympathy i had for them. In a previous post www.mancunianreds.com/index.cgi?board=news&action=display&thread=147&page=1 I did show my empathy with them and hoped that they would be in the Champions League. But they, especially Wenger, got what was coming to them. Hopefully the loss would galvanize him into getting some skillful players and gets out of his inertia. I would prefer Arsenal and Liverpool over Chelsea and City. In fact Arsenal's start of the season brings into my mind the demise of Leeds United from the Premier League. Yes I hate Leeds, but it was that kind of rivalry I preferred. With Leeds gone, I miss those matches which were intense with fans on both sides baying for victory. All I see are plastic fans supporting a plastic team(s). That is why I believe Manchester United are the answer to the City challenge. They stopped the Chelsea challenge in 2006-07 and they and Liverpool (my brain just stopped thinking) are the people to stop the City team this season. I hope for a good season of football and us at the top of the league at the end!!!.

I was pretty surprised the way arsenal played. Even with their very very immature and hugely inexperienced squad, they were very much playing the arsenal way. They were going for attack from the first minute which made it easier for us as we got lots of space in midfield. I feel for both the full backs traore and jenkinson as young and nani tore them apart and also Arshavin and walcott didnt back them up while defending and they were left brutally exposed. Arshavin and Rosicky both looked disinterested in the game, only players that had the fighting spirit and actually played where walcott, the keeper RVP and coquelin (although he cudnt cope with clevers and ando but he showed heart). GNev was right in saying that against any other team we would have only won 1-0 or 2-0.

Hopefully, the Arsenal we all hated is gone for good now, at least we can thank Wenger for that.

If and when Wenger and Sir Alex decide to retire, then the Premier league will have no-one to create havoc and question the F.A and also question the fitness of referees.

The only one that could come close is Kenny Dalglish as he has won the league before and he played at the highest level with Liverpool. As I mentioned earlier, when they leave or retire, then the Premier league will not be the same again. I will drown my sorrows that is for sure.
