Is there anything we could have done to beat Barcelona or were they simply too good for us on the night. For a while, Barcelona had shown signs of fatigue in their la liga campaign, but when they played us, they were significantly better than us.
Thinking about it, is there anything we could of done to make our team click in the middle? Would you have preferred to have gone back in time and replaced Michael Carrick with Roy Keane? Would you have gone back in time and signed Lionel Messi to Manchester United? Would you have preferred our players to get physical rather than just staying away from their players and not touching them.

in my opinion if we had scored first, we would have a better chance against Barcelona. But when they scored, it put a spanner on our plans. Let's remember Scholes scored his brilliant goal early in the 1st half (14 minutes) which forced them to play from a position they we'rent used to: chasing.
If we had scored early they would more unsure of themselves. That's what I think. Let's hope for a better journey next year and hope that we can crack Barca's code next final

It is simply because we were literally playing with 10-men rather than 11. We were constantly booting the football upfield, and 9 times out of 10, Hernandez never had a chance on his own. We need someone like Modric perhaps in the central midfield to replace Giggs as he is getting on a bit now.
